Great to be part of the Inland Growth Summit in Dubbo last week, bringing together industry, government and community to focus on what’s ahead for a vibrant, growing regional NSW.
Across the program, there was a clear focus on the big issues shaping our regions; workforce, energy, infrastructure, water and how we continue to drive sustainable growth across regional communities.
I had the opportunity to facilitate the agriculture panel alongside Ryan Robinson (Elders), Indiana Rhind and Graham Lyon (Fletcher International Exports). A really practical conversation covering what’s happening on the ground right now from workforce challenges and skills pipelines, to ag tech adoption, global pressures and where the next wave of opportunity sits for agriculture.
A key theme was the consistency in conversations across sectors. There’s strong alignment around backing regional communities, investing in people and making sure growth is not just talked about, but actually delivered where it matters.
Congratulations to RDA Orana & One More Event on a wonderful event, and thank you for the invite to facilitate the agriculture panel.
Plenty to take away, and even more to build on 👏🏽
